Here at Equip U, we specialise in a wide range of cutting edge products designed to improve the mobility of everyday Australians. Our point of difference is that we don’t just stock mobility scooters and other accessories, but we also offer in-home trials to residents who live in Queensland. We believe that access to these types of products shouldn’t be limited based on where you live, and being NDIS registered, we can provide funding options as well.
How We Work At Equip U
At Equip U, we see a disability as a possibility and have made it our mission to go above and beyond the standard offerings from other retailers who stock devices and tools to improve mobility.
It's important to us that we spend time with our clients to truly get to know their mobility needs, though coming to us in person is often easier said than done. Although we have two physical stores at 47 Harbour Road in North Mackay and 148 Queen Street in Ayr we’re slowly revolutionizing our industry by offering a mobile service so that our customers can try our products at home.
For Queenslanders who would traditionally face long drives to the nearest physical outlet, for people who live in Ayr, Home Hill, Townsville, Charters Towers, Emerald, Rockhampton, Moranbah, Bowen or The Whitsundays, we’re happy to come to you.
Not only does our at home trials provide the ultimate sense of convenience, but it also means that our clients have the chance to give our products a try in the environments that they’re designed for, ensuring that there’s no potential headaches further down the track and that the right product is selected from day one.
From all terrain vehicles, mobility scooters and shower assistance products, we also offer products for hire as a means to help our clients explore the world around them more freely and with less restrictions. For customers who have invested in a new product from us on a more permanent basis, we also offer services and repairs to help ensure that access to mobility remains reliable and consistent without breaking the bank.
